New York Comic Con is alive and in New York City this weekend! Here is a link with few great photos:
GOOD: Much easier to get tickets than San Diego!
BAD: HBO’s Westworld cause panic attack for members of the media. Sorry no “making the world a better place” with HBO hits like “Silicon Valley” or “Game of Thrones”. NYC is a FOR PROFIT event dedicated to comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. (links to Wiki)
UGLY: You missed it and it is really hard to get San Diego tickets (next year)!
BOTTOM LINE: Try to get into both as they are amazing!
San Diego vs. NYC: I’ve done both (been to SDCC three times and I live in NYC so I go to NYCC every year) and I honestly prefer SDCC. There is just so much MORE. There are more panels, more vendors, more swag, more offsites, more exclusives. NYCC doesn’t have the kind of space that SDCC has for offsites, and that’s not even counting the fact that the San Diego Convention Center is about three times the size of the Javitz. NYCC sells more and more tickets every year but the Javitz doesn’t get bigger every year, and with less space for panels and not as many offsites, all those people have to go somewhere.
